Ok my five favorites for last month are as follows …
Younique Awake facial cleanser it is now called the Illuminate Clear. It now says it is for oily skin and when I don’t use it on my newly oily skin I can tell the difference. It retails for 39.00.
Fructis Garnia Flat Iron Protectant mist. This stuff is less expensive than the John Frieda I like and I think works better. Per the website… This powerful straightening mist with argan oil from Morocco protects your hair from the heat of your flat iron, while sealing in smoothness and shine for a lasting, sleek finish for 48 hours.
EcoTools Bronzing brush is awesome. I do not use it to bronze but for my setting powders. It is soft and thick. I have yet to have any shedding.
Ellis Faas foundation. This really is worth the 90.00 price tag. I am glad I picked it up in Dallas. It is a great satin finish and lasts about a good ten hours with a primer.
Covergirl Lip pencil. It is so soft and creamy.
What were your favorites for the month? Please share below.
Ok I broke down and purchased a set of the holiday MAC pigments/glitter. I debated on the bronze and the gold as I already had Melon but I already have a gold like glitter and I figured I could give Melon to a friend for Christmas. The packaging is so beautiful.
Here they look in the package
And the swatches
I am loving my purchase. Though I might get the gold because I love MAC pigments and well it is a good deal at 35.00.
Disclaimer: Purchased with own money and thoughts are my own.
I purchased this a couple months ago at Sephora. It is a beautiful fine milled powder. It is described as …”A universal finishing powder that features state-of-the-art technology to recreate the most exquisitely flattering types of light.” It retails for 45.00
Ok so the point of this post ….I do not find it worth the hype. I am glad I have it in my collection but sad to say only as a hoarder. I do use it because of the price but I wouldn’t get another one.
I have a sample of the Pearl Finishing dust from Everyday Minerals and it is a less expensive almost dupe of the ambient powders in my opinion. Here is the sites description. “Sheer coverage provides the perfect canvas for virtually every skin tone while minimizing dulling effects with subtle shimmer.” It retails for 14.00.
Let me know if you have tried either or have any other dupes/alternative.
And disclaimer I purchased myself and opinion is my own in case it wasn’t clear lol
I prefer to use a eyeliner pen then any other eyeliner type. For me I can get a closer more precise line. I have tried three different kinds one high end the others drugstore. Is the high end worth the splurge?
ELF Essential Waterproof liner is a 2.00, the jordana Fabuliner is 2.99 and the Lorac Front of the Line Pro Liquid liner is 23.00.
Here are the swatches. I have the Lorac in brown and black.
The ELF liner has a VERY hard tip. It is a total skip for me. The Jordana is excellent for the price BUT the splurge is worth it to me. The Lorac has a non fraying tip that is the perfect stiffness and give. I love a bargain but I won’t buy either of the drug store again.
Hope this review was helpful 😀 any other’s you can recommend me to try?
This is my day today. Once again trying to find the perfect organization for my stash. Why is it so messy before it gets finished? Oh wait… I’m never finished lol.
If I ever get done I’ll share how I’ve found organization bliss. 🙂 if anyone had any tips please leave them below!

I wasn’t sure what look I wanted to do for this blog hop. I wanted to do something unique yet simple that anyone can recreate. Then TA DA the third grade picture lets you play with your makeup and colors yet is easy to replicate. Here is how I did it.
Draw flowers, rainbow, anything you want but it has to be imperfect. This is to look like a third grader painted it. I used Jordana eyeshadow pencil in Black.
Then I filled in with various cheek stains, lipsticks, and cream eyeshadows.
I blended the background making a point to not stay in the lines etc. To me the beauty of this is the child like feel. And the finish product.
Products used: Jordana eyeshadow crayon in Black
Nyx Jumbo eye pencils in Cashmere and Rust
Radiant Orchid Sephora pantone cream blush
ELF Matte Lip Color in rich red
Check out these other posts in the blog hop and have a wonderfully spooky Halloween!
