I am a foundation WHORE!, I have almost any brand whether as a sample or in general. I am very picky of what I like as well. It has changed in last few months as well. I desire a light feeling – my skin but better look. The description appears to fit that description and I am a sucker for gimmicks.
Since I can’t just try one kind. The same post from Musings of a Muse described how this type of foundation started as a Korean thing. I LOVE Korean brand items. Authentic brands anyway 😀 And I have never tried Etude but seen on blogs and such so I am curious. I sold my dinair system (shout out to that person I appreiate it) and of course I can’t have paypal money laying around lol. I purchased two items from Beauty net korea.
I don’t need the whitening aspects but like the BB creams I use. I don’t use them often and well I have yet to see any whitening. I do think it funny (not haha funny but odd funny) how many in the USA want to be tan/dark skinned and Asians tend to want to be as white as possible. I think it’s cool as they are so gorgeous but it’s interesting concept. (hope that didn’t come across as offensive as I didn’t mean it to be). These look interesting and if work well could be a great inexpensive addition to my makeup kit,
Since I enjoy comparing Asian brands to USA counterparts (Asia usually wins btw) I also picked up the cushion foundation.
Doesn’t it look amazing? I am so exciting though I am sure it will take forever to arrive. Last items I purchased from Korea took between a month and six weeks. boo.
The last thing I think I am going to pick up and is a total splurge is the Marc Jacobs eyeshadow palette. (though I am way looking forward to the lorac pro 2 as well. After this one, that one, and my on the way coastal scents no more — so much for an eyeshadow no buy lol)

And/Or depending on how much I make at my garage sale.. I may get this as well.
The Hourglass Ambient Light trio they had as special edition at Christmas but thankfully due to high demand came back. I am on fence as I am fearful they are not that special … though I know most people swear by them.

The finishing powders enhance skin in any type of light, including flash photography. With three universal shades available in the Ambient palette, you can create any desired effect.

– Parabens

What else you need to know:

“I learned early on how different types of light can truly flatter the complexion. Growing up, my mother had pink light bulbs in all of the lamps throughout the house. She loved pink light because it was the softest and most flattering, and she always wanted to look good. I used this concept of lighting in Ambient Lighting Powder.” —Carisa Janes, Hourglass Founder
