GRWM — Christmas Party Part one a soft smokey eye

My family had a Christmas party to go to this week and I took some time off work early to get snazzed up. I started of course with a shower. I used two hair products in the shower.

Didn’t want to show you my wet half used one 😀Mine is a trial size from GLossybox … I recommend you try this out of you have thicker frizz prone hair

The above picture is the beginning — showered with no make up face.

Next I used the Fructis Flat iron spray and combed my hair with this new goody wet hair brush.

I love both these items.

Face Prepping starts with my lip balm, Missha Toner and moisturizer.

Next hair drying.  I was going to straighten it but ran out of time. I love this hair dryer and it’s extension and it is not too expensive. I got it at Target. What I do is pin my hair up with a clip and dry in sections. I have thick hair and this lets me dry it faster

After that I started on my makeup. I prepared my eye area with Lumene eye roller de puff serum, red eye reduction eye drops, Boots No 7 beautifully matte primer ( I have horribly oily lids) and I went ahead and dd my eyebrows. New holy grail us the Tarte amazonian clay eye brow mousse. It come with the awesome dual end brush. This one is in taupe and I am getting use to the subtle color it brings but I did order the rich brown since tarte at their 30% off friends and family sale this week. Next I primed the eyes with Bare minerals Prime time layered with Benefit RSVP. This is a sample size that has lasted awhile but I don’t us it too often. I do like it but wouldn’t get a full size the tattoos by maybelline though dryer are just as good. I do want to try a MAC paint pot though for reference. Then the eyes with these items on is below the item pictures.

I decided to do a soft neutral eye with a bold lip. I used mostly odds and ends in my home made z palette.

First I did a base color of Taupe by La Femme. These shadows are very inexpensive, in large pans, and very pigmented. I got a few from makeup mania for 2.87. I am also showing what brush I used for what step in the picture pointing to the shade

Next is by Stila, It is Kitten which is a well loved shade by many including me 😀 I put this on the lid.

I then decided to use MAC Brown Script in the crease. This is my favorite MAC shade ever!

Next I put a brow shade to highlight. I used ELF shade in oatmeal.

Work wise I might stop here but since going out to a party I decided to darken the outer corner. I used a Bobbi Brown Shade I have had forever I don’t remember the name.

I then used the L’Oreal Volumizing Smoldering in my upper and lower waterline.  I wanted to try out my new liner from Milani. It is very watery so I attempted to dry it with another Bobbi Brown Liner shadow I have had for  a long time.
